Happening off-Campus: Last night was the Superbowl, and the Seattle Seahawks emerged victorious! They beat the New England Patriots 29-13, taking home their second Superbowl win. This would have been the seventh victory for the Patriots, an NFL record, though they currently remained tied with the Steelers at six, The game’s halftime featured a performance by artist Bad Bunny, who brought out stars like Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin. Happening near Campus: An end to the stretch of bitterly cold weather in New York City is finally in sight, forecasters say. The City saw record low temperatures on Saturday thanks to the Arctic blast, with a recorded six degrees at Kennedy Airport. Forecasters predict, though, that we should be seeing increases in temperature in the coming week. (NYT)

Happening on-Campus: Today from 4 to 5 pm, Columbia’s Institute for the Study of Sexuality and Gender is hosting an information session about Carlton College’s Women and Gender Studies in Europe program. It as a study-abroad opportunity, where students will travel through the Netherlands, Germany, and the Czech Republic to expand their studies. More information can be found here.
