@why no wes yip?! :(
@Anonymous wtff wesley is great. he definitely should have won.
@oh well The above commenter CC’13, not the year
@oh well I’m assuming CC’13 ran for president and lost against Mario or is one of the candidates’ friends. What a sore loser…
@why did my write-in vote for Stephan Vincenzo not show up in the results???
@Senators Frouman was obvious but Dylan or Steve would have been better than Eduardo.
@2012 Steven had so many good ideas to bring to senate attention…especially with how to improve our environmental report card and fix CCE. And they made sense! I plan to write him in for preprofessional so we don’t have 2 inept leaders next year.
@Steven Castellano hahaha, losing one election is enough, but thanks. I can’t wait to figure out who you are.
@NO! Columbia needs you, Steven Castellano!
@Anonymous frouman, the shit or not the shit?
@frou frou fan he is the shit
@2013 I think i’m PREZBO! Alma Mater.
@Anonymous i’m the asian version of james franco
@CC'11 as a senior, this all seems incredibly petty. ALL of it.
@Ha! ROTC wins again Ryan Cho is an Army ROTC cadet.
@Anonymous I heard he’s in the Army National Guard ROTC, wadda pussy
@CC'13 I’m incredibly disappointed in the class of 2013. Mario is a self-serving individual, and I will not consider him my class president.
@CC '14 That doesn’t make sense, did you not just see that he was elected?
@Anonymous HO HO HO, you won’t consider him your class president. Oh no, maybe we should re cast votes. But really, lets be honest, no one give half a FUCK what you consider. Seriously, since when was “I don’t consider” a good argument. You should talk to your CC professor for more valid approaches.
@Anonymous I’m pretty sure that wasn’t supposed to be an argument. He’s clearly stating his frustration, so it’s an opinion. Also, misguided anger much?
@Anonymous I think people should realize how much of an asset Eleanor is to council. She’s one of the most capable people I know and is certainly qualified for the position.
@I wish Eleanor ran for president. Instead, she helped someone who helped plan one party in 2 years take it.
@Anonymous As opposed to the incumbent who planned zero successful parties in two years. 1>0. Maybe you should take Logic with Lax next semester too you retard.
@Anonymous open mic night – attendance- 200
winter wonderland – attendance – 350
freshman movie night – attendance – 150
harry and the potters – attendance – 750
sophomore boat party – attendance – 350
we planned a whole bunch of successful events prior to the boat, all of which alex had a crucial role in planning. he was also the reason the boat event wasn’t cancelled.
@Anonymous only one of which mario had any role in planning, might i add. 5>1.
@Anonymous like listen i love alex and i love mario but give credit where it’s due. alex was a great president whose downfall was the fact that he didn’t think it was necessary to take credit for all the hard work he did.
@Anonymous Haha that’s really not a true statement. Alex was not the reason the boat party wasn’t cancelled lol
@Anonymous you clearly have no idea what you’re talking about.
@Anonymous You’re a fucking hater dude
@Anonymous BOLD won you retard. Decisively. I hear Jeffery Lax is teach Logic next semester. Maybe you should take that class.
@Anonymous to the retard who said Five Guys > BOLD
@Anonymous Yes, they won. He can read. I think his still supporting them despite them unfortunately losing warranted the “sorry”
@Yeah... and the Republicans won the House, but still Dems > Reps. I’m not saying BOLD was bad (I honestly don’t know or care), but people can believe a party is better even if it doesn’t win.
@Sooooo Did anyone else notice that the Better Columbia posters used a very similar font and shade of blue as the Obama ’08 posters?
@CC '13 if elections are just popularity contests, not enough cool kids voted this year.
@Anonymous you’re probably a fucking weirdo…
@where are the ESC results?
@In Harmony. You should go after Orgo Night tonight and check em out
@Anonymous at least mario is articulate and has a hot girlfriend
@Well clearly hot is subjective..
but why do you care what his gf looks like in the first place?? That’s so weird.
@CC'13 articulate? what is this racist shit
@CC '13 WOW thank god peteception or whatever it was called didnt win. literally, the biggest collection of bafooons
@lol i mean with a name like “peteception” . . .
@Anonymous way to go CU CHARGE… and goood effort UNITE CU….im so glad that BETTER CU didn’t get it..they have no clue what’s goin on..and their vp policy was M.I.A thru the entire campaigning process..
@Anonymous Oh Jesus Christ another year of emails from Ryan Mandelbaum
@hey man i like writing those
@.. hahaha
@Anonymous Every time I get an email from him it’s like an egg with a neckbeard is assaulting my brain.
@BC '13 Man, I wish I got emails from Ryan Mandelbaum.
@jus' sayin if you’re a barnard girl in his year, chances are pretty good he’s already stuffed your inbox
@CONGRATS Sarita is soooo amazing…and sexy
@Anonymous and what about Sarah and Kylie from 2012…?
@Wesley Yip was robbed!!!
@Anonymous I WANT WEEZY
@Anonymous ME TOOO!!!!
@CONGRATS AKI! MAN, YOU SO FINE!
@anon aki is an individualist resume-stuffer. no real commitment.
@Anonymous Five Guys > BOLD. Sorry.
@Anonymity In-N-Out > Five Guys.
@anonymous have you not seen the election results?
@COOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOP!
@CC'13 UGH so upset about the bold party…so fake.
@Anonymous Mmmm well apparently the voters dont agree with you. Too bad.
@congrats cu charge! yay aki! yay kevin!
@Too Bad Better CU was clearly the better party. Columbia should change their voting system. This run-off system clearly doesn’t serve the interests of the students.
@so happy that our school was not disgraced by the incredibly inept Barry. have you ever seen someone who was so lacking in common sense and class? I think i’ve seen pigeons saunter around campus w/ more grace than this endorsement craving neanderthal. the great things about elections is that it shows what is simply NOT TOLERATED by the general student body…amen to Aki and his party, they simply were a cut above the rest.
@Anonymous Wow, nowhere in that horrifying post did I hear you say anything valid about Barry or BetterCU’s policies. Somehow I think that the number of endorsements his party got meant that he was well-liked and respected by the student body, not that he was somehow inept. I would advise you to pay better attention next time, and furthermore to stop being an unbelievable ass.
@CC '14 Speaking as a first year, I am very dissappointed Kiwi Krew won again.
The one thing I want from my CCSC is a cheap or free t shirt, or something awesome like ’13’s recent boat party.
Why are SEAS ’14 shirts around $6 and CC ’14 shirts around $16? Because of stupid ice cream socials and events run by this years CCSC ’14. And now we can have that again.
@CC'14 as well If you actually knew anything about the finances of CC’14, then you wouldn’t be making such stupid assertions. Those events that they hosted weren’t very costly and furthermore, the cost of the shirt was never set at $16. The reason for it being more expensive is that it would be printed on American Apparel shirts, not shit quality.
The class voted and they liked what the Kiwi Krew did. Get over it.
@Current CCSC member Little do you know how admirable the work of CCSC’14 has been this year. They’ve done far more than throw 2 study-breaks and Winter Wonderland as most freshman councils do. Their work has been fantastic and they thoroughly deserve their re-election.
@Anonymous Actually they have been terrible in management. Conan did NOT even show up for Winter Wonderland. What kind of president doesn’t show up to the biggest event of the year for freshmen?
There are many CC ’14ers who have complained about Conan and the rest of CCSC ’14.
@Roko Hey! :) I feel your pain. If I had paid $13 for Winter Wonderland only to see Conan and he weren’t there, I too would have been crushed.
Therefore, to make your convalescence speedier, we have arranged for a make-up session Winter Wonderland only for you and Conan. For all information regarding scheduling, dress code and all other general bitchassness that you don’t complain about until election time, please feel free to contact me at rr2722@columbia.edu
Your humble servant,
RR
@Julie I have to say, I personally was also disappointed by Conan’s choice not to attend Winter Wonderland. I thought I was making an investment with that $13 dollars, but it turns out all I got was a party with a bunch of my classmates and a good DJ and food and photos and Lowe Library. Little did CCSC know, all we really wanted was the chance to see Conan in formal wear. It’s okay, you can admit it.
Look, friend. I’m sorry you have such negative feelings about the Kiwi reelection. You must have been very disappointed that Conan now has to continue spending time at CCSC instead of snuggling with you.
If you were a real Conan fan, you would want what’s best for him and for our school. *~*~*~If you love something, let it go.~*~*~*
@Oops, Julie Please forgive the $/dollar redundancy.
@Alex For anyone who supported me in this election: we fought as hard as we could, and though we fell short, the failure is mine, not yours. The road was difficult from the onset.
I think what’s important now is to put aside any petty differences we might have and focus on working together not only to support the newly elected CC’14 class council, but to also help each other make this year even better than the one before
A sincere congratulations to Conan, Joanna, Roko, Sarita, and Daphne; you have my support.
Alex
@Anonymous This is exactly why people don’t like the Kiwi Crew. Stop being snarky and sarcastic. Just admit Conan EFFED up and move on. Don’t make fun of the person for such a badly planned Winter Wonderland.
@Roko Snarky and sarcastic is a good response to someone claiming that 15 people weren’t able to plan the event because one of them didn’t attend.
@lol Yet the majority of us freshman voted for them. Funny isn’t it.
@Anonymous I don’t remember seeing any of members of the opposing parties at Winter Wonderland…
@For what it's worth not that this is really important, but those txts sold out, so some of us couldn’t go anyway
@Anonymous I know that Conan puts 10000% percent into CCSC. It’s Joanna who is a complete bimbo and a dolt.
@Roko Ugh. I knowwwwwwwww. We never wanted her on our team, it’s just the official bimbo Title IX rules that we need to comply with.
j/k, of course. Don’t be a jerk!
Joking aside, I assure you that Joanna’s doing her job just as well as the rest of us do, especially in Dining where’s she’s basically representing all of the undergrads. :)
@Anonymous Erm, I’m a Senior so, really a cornier, more well-digested sh*t could not be given, but aren’t you generally supposed to wait for OTHER people to call your work ‘admirable’?
@Current CCSC member I’m not part of 2014
@Anonymous Girl, bye.
@HEY FRESHMAN STFU
@Anonymous Better Columbia won the first round of voting (606 votes) against CU Charge (578 votes) and UniteCU (486) votes.
They then lost narrowly in the second round (742 votes) to CU Charge (789 votes) after UniteCU’s second-choice votes were distributed..
Must be bittersweet to lose even when they were the most-preferred first-choice party out of the three parties.
@that sucks It’s like winning the popular vote but losing the electoral college.
@Anonymous the instant run off system means that better columbia had the most people who strongly preferred them, and cu charge only won because there were more unitecu voters who said, ‘well, meh i guess cucharge is ok too’.
RIP better columbia, and good luck to cu charge.
@YAY GO AKI!!!! congrats on a well deserved win :)
