Eight O’Clock Happenings

All-white outfits not required—only preferred

If you’re looking for a way to fill up your Wednesday night that doesn’t involve homework or staring at a computer screen for hours, we have some alternatives, all beginning at 8 pm.

  • Divas for DVAS Self-Defense Workshop: As part of its campaign for domestic violence awareness, Alpha Chi Omega, in conjunction with International Krav Maga, will teach you “noncompetitive eclectic self-defense” in the Lerner Party Space. If you plan to attend, make sure to fill out the waiver and bring a water bottle and a towel.
  • Live at Lerner: Chicago’s big comedy group, The Second City, will perform in the Roone Arledge Auditorium. Get your free tickets at the TIC in the lobby of Lerner.
  • Soup in the Sukkah: Chabad at Columbia wants you to enjoy free soup, mingle with members, and learn about the organization at its Chabad House Sukka on 625 West 113 Street.
