It may be a whole 24 hours until you can reasonably start pregaming Bacchanal, but considering how early you’re going to have to get up, consider the advance preparation worth it. Drinking With Bwog brings you…ways to drink at 10 am without feeling gross, or at least without throwing up in front of Brooklyn Grinnell.
Caribbean Coffee
- 1 cup of hot coffee
- 2 shots of rum
- milk and sugar, to taste
Like an Irish coffee, but possibly even stronger. You can roll out of bed and start drinking this right away, with no fear of falling asleep again.
Grapefruit Mimosa
- 1 part grapefruit juice
- 1 part vodka
As good a late-afternoon cocktail as it is a morning drink, this beverage is just trashy enough not to feel out of place, but just classy enough to be smuggled into Bacchanal – just dump out half the grapefruit juice from a bottle and fill it up with vodka. Who needs champagne glasses?
Sangria Shots
- 2 oz red or white wine
- 1 oz vodka
- whatever fruit you have on hand
Good for a quick drunk breakfast. Take a few wine-drenched shots and chase with whatever fruit/other breakfast foods you’re already eating. Enjoy!

@Sean I have to thank you for the efforts you have put in writing
this blog. I am hoping to see the same high-grade blog
posts from you in the future as well. In fact, your creative
writing abilities has encouraged me to get my own blog now ;)
@not be drank betch... …but grapefruit juice and vodka is a greyhound. a grapefruit mimosa would obviously have to involve Andre…
@seattlite This is incredible insensitive and inappropriate considering that macklemore is a recovering addict. I hope you fix this ASAP.
@honest question I guess I see where you are coming from.. but was it equally insensitive, then, to try to book him for an event called “bacchanal”? If so, then maybe the damage has just already been done?
@Possible I’ll agree that maybe the title of the article is inappropriate (though Bwog does try to keep consistent with how they title articles and this follows the trend) but Macklemore, in his lyrics, makes it clear that while he himself no longer drinks, it was a decision he made for himself, and still recognizes/encourages others to enjoy drinking if they do so in a manner that they deem responsible. Going off of his own lyrics, I think he’d be okay with this.
@Anonymous i’ll be sweatin…
but thanks for the suggestions :)
