Every issue, the folks at The Blue and White come up with a postcard from Morningside. This month, they reached out to a rather…lost…freshman. Be sure to pick up a copy of the magazine on campus before you head home.

Hi Mom and Dad,

I really loved my Freshman year, but I have to say, something felt off about it. When we last saw each other I was going to meet my OL during NSOP. I got to Low Plaza but my group never really showed up. So I waited for a while and I’m still kind of waiting, I guess? Could you maybe call housing and ask them where I was living this year? I haven’t been able to “find” that either.

But don’t get me wrong, Columbia is fantastic. Even though this year didn’t go as I expected to, it’s been full of life-changing, soul-blossoming moments, like our Lupe Fiasco concert. I understand why you guys always say you wish you could go back to college!

Anyway, I can’t wait to see you guys! Also, could you maybe contact Columbia and have them send someone to come and find me because I’m not entirely sure where I am right now.
