MicroGrant application is due by Wednesday night!

After merging with FLIP National, FLIP Columbia is able to offer students MicroGrants for this spring.

However, the application for these MicroGrants had been open for four days before FLIP sent out the an email announcement on February 28th. This will likely pose a problem to those who could have filled out the application over the weekend.  The application is due this Wednesday, so make sure to apply ASAP.

In Spring of 2015, FLIP organized a MicroGrants fundraiser for students in need of emergency funds. On behalf of FLIP at Columbia, our parent organization FLIP National is accepting applications for students to receive these funds. Please consider including the following blurb in your newsletter:

“Through the generous support of donors and the larger community FLIP at Columbia is now a chapter of a FLIP National- a national non-profit aimed at promoting equal opportunities for first-generation and/or low-income students in higher education.

FLIP National has opened up applications for Microgrants (gift money that does not need to be repaid) to support students struggling with financing food, clothing, housing, certain medical fees, university-related fees, certain travel expenses, and other areas that may arise.

Lowkey, the application had been open for four days before FLIP sent us a tip…. so WYAWA? Why wait so long before sending a notice to Bwog, FLIP? This weekend would have been a great time to knock out the application. Whatever. The deadline still isn’t until Wednesday night, so they didn’t completely flip you over ;)
