We tend to see upperclassmen – whether friends, acquaintances, or those we admire from afar – as having all the answers. Sure, seniors have a lot to say, and some of it might actually hold some truth. After all, they have made it through almost four years here at Columbia, and we can assume that during that time, they’ve picked up some knowledge along the way. But graduating seniors are only a fraction of the readily available wisdom on this campus. We should also look to the hardworking, often underpaid, scholarly people – professors – at our school.
If you have a professor that you’d like to honor, or you want to ensure that their message is shared with those outside of your classroom, nominate them for an Actual Wisdom to tips@bwog.com by Friday, May 1 at 11:59 pm, or leave your nomination in the comments below. They, too, will enjoy being prompted with the notorious oral sex vs. cheese question, so romantic motivations for nominating a professor are not discouraged. Be sure to include a short description on why this professor is deserving of an Actual Wisdom, and we’ll start contacting these wise academics soon!
