Happening in the World: Today, the world celebrates 100 years since the end of World War I, when the 1918 Armistice was sealed on 11/11. German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Emmanuel Macron signed a book of remembrance yesterday, in a railway carriage identical to the one in which the original Armistice was signed.
Happening in the US: Three major forest fires raged through California this week; one of them – the Camp Fire – devastated the community of Paradise, leaving behind abandoned cars and charred buildings. Twenty-five lives have been lost. Here is how to help.
Happening in NYC: The Rockefeller Center Christmas tree just arrived yesterday. In the next few weeks, 50,000 LED lights and a crystal star will grace this 72-foot tall behemoth. The lighting ceremony is on November 28 at 7 pm.
Happening on Campus: Lots of theatrical talent! See the last showing of Once Upon A Fortnight by The Pale Blue (re: our review) at 11am today, or mark your calendars for KCST’s The Winter’s Tale (Thursday thru Sunday at 8 pm) and Almost, Maine (Friday thru Saturday at 7:30 pm).
