Goooooood morning! Here, have some political updates!

Happening in the US: Michael Cohen’s testimony suggests that Robert Mueller might not be President Trump’s only concern. While the results of Mueller’s Russia investigation have yet to be released, Trump’s past business ventures in New York, such as hushed money payments and potential tax fraud, may land him in deep trouble (NBC).
Happening in NYC: Jumaane D. Williams, a Democrat from Brooklyn, was elected as New York City public advocate this past week. He has pledged to fight for New York’s most disadvantaged residents, vowing to get those caught in the system a second chance (The New York Times).
Happening on Campus: This past week, the first bargaining session between the graduate workers and Columbia University took place. Graduate workers have been organizing for two decades, making this a very historic moment.
