Happening in the world: A yellow vest protester was severely injured in Paris, France, after a tear gas grenade exploded in his hand. The yellow vest protests, now entering their thirteenth consecutive week, started as protesting high gas prices in rural areas and are transitioning to general protests against incumbent president Emmanuel Macron. Happening in the US: The small town of Sandusky, Ohio has tossed Columbus Day in favor of making Election Day a paid holiday. Taking effect this year, the hope is to increase voter turnout. (CNN)

Happening in New York: A large fire enveloped a Bronx high-rise building Saturday Night. One person was minorly injured, and the building was evacuated. (PIX11)

Happening on campus: On Monday, there will be a talk concerning menstrual health and religion at the Hammer Health Sciences Center.
