Open Meeting Announcement: Star-Crossed Writers

KCST graciously let us take a peek at the piece they ultimately decided not to perform.

Two presses, both alike in dignity,

In fair Columbia we lay our scene,

From “Fuck Spec”s hurled break to new mutiny,

Where writers’ feuds make writers’ posts unclean.

From forth the stately sites of these two foes

Two star-cross’d authors dared scorn this dispute,

Whose tragic love let them ask in florid prose

“What if we kissed despite Bwog and Spec’s feud?”

The fearful passage of their short-lived joy,

And the continuance of their presses’ rage,

Which, but their authors’ death, nought could destroy,

Is the hourlong subject of our meeting.

The which if you at 9 PM attend,

With our grapes in hand, in Lerner 510.

@Anonymous You know what causes all the political anger? Oldsters in the left and right expected to have their franchises secure. Now the old, dug-in franchise-holders have become disenfranchised… and plenty angry. But for those they used to disenfranchise, it’s just fun, Dr Schadenfreude.
