Is it tactless to make a joke about North Korean projectiles?

Happening in the world: On Tuesday morning, North Korea launched a short-range missile from South Pyongan province that landed about 200 miles to the east. This comes just one day after North Korea’s Vice Foreign Minister said the country was willing to have “comprehensive discussions” about denuclearization. South Korea expresses “strong concern” about the short range launches.

Happening in the US: A high school in Florence, Alabama has decided to remove some of its bathroom stall doors to deter students from vaping on campus. This was decided after an incident where a student passed out while vaping in one of the school’s bathrooms.

Happening in NYC: A deliveryman for Lady M Confections, a pricey bakery known amongst NYC residents and celebrities for their layered crepe cakes, has been caught stealing cakes from the shop and distributing them for a cheaper price. He somehow stole more than $90,000 worth of dessert and has plead guilty to petit larceny.

Happening on campus: Low-lapalooza is happening on Low steps from 7:00-9:00 PM. The University Life Events Council is hosting a night of fun activities such as silent disco, GIANT games, and Insomnia Cookies! The first 200 people there get a free T-shirt. Bring your CUID to borrow headphones!

Something rude: Columbia might’ve ranked 3rd on the list of top national universities, but it’s number 1 in our hearts, and on the list of most expensive private schools in the country. Super awesome, Columbia!
