Bwoglines: Bwog Enters The Race Edition

In the spirit of Michael Bloomberg, Bwog is announcing our run for the United States 2020 presidential election.

Happening in the World: Hong Kong’s pro-democracy movement gained a major victory in the territory’s district council elections, now controlling 17 of the 18 councils. (BBC)

Happening in the US: Michael Bloomberg officially announced his entry into a crowded Democratic presidential pool. The former NYC mayor doesn’t believe any of the current presidential candidates can defeat Trump and promised to be a moderate “doer and a problem solver — not a talker.” (CNN)

Happening in NYC: New York City’s electric Citi bikes are coming back this winter after being pulled due to safety and battery concerns. Initial plans are to launch several hundred e-bikes and then gradually ramp up to a larger fleet. (CBS)

Happening on Campus: Today at 6, head to Maison Francaise for The Seine, the River that Made Paris, a conversation with author Elaine Sciolino about her new book of the same title. Sciolino explores the vibrant history of the river Seine through lively characters like a bargewoman and a riverbank bookseller.
