Joshcore Album of the Week: This week I have for you one of my favorite albums of 2019 and of all time to balance out the patriarchy. This is CALIGULA by Lingua Ignota, an album of dizzying choral heights and soul sucking lows born from Multi-Instrumentalist and Vocalist Kristin Hayter’s experiences with abusive relationships, eating disorders, and Christianity. If you like badass women, incredible vocals ranging from near operatic flourishes to death wails, and wallowing in rage, misery, and inevitable bloody triumph, this album is for you. This album is not for the faint of heart, but is a powerful experience worth your time.
