Happening in the World: Boris Johnson announced a new 10-point “green industrial revolution” plan. The 12 billion pound plan outlines multiple renewable energy, countryside restoration, and nuclear power initiatives that include increasing public transport accessibility, utilizing carbon capture technology, and investing in hydrogen fuel (The Guardian).
Happening in the US: Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey were called to speak in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee on Tuesday morning. The four-hour meeting grilling the tech moguls consisted of 127 questions asked by both Republicans and Democrats within the committee, centered around censorship, content moderation, election misinformation, hate speech, and voter fraud (The New York Times).
Happening in New York City: In Brooklyn, a wannabe rapper was seen shooting a flamethrower from the top of an MTA bus in order to get a sick shot for his new music video. Dupree G.O.D. jumped from an ice cream truck onto an MTA Bus and began shooting flames upward into the air before pointing them down on the top of the bus with 25 passengers inside. The bus driver was quick to yell at the rapper and make sure that all the passengers were safe before transferring them to another bus. (NY Daily News).
