@Anonymous That’s insane! How many people were deferred of this statistic?
@Anonymous Columbia always had a great college. With strong housing and studentl ife programs now, it is an unbeatable place to study and to develop as a scholar and as a person. The opportunities and imntellectual/cultural stimulations are endless. Between my time as a student at Columbia College and at University of Oxford, while both were great experiences, Columbia was the more challenging and stimulating.
Thank you for the endless buffet of opportunities, Columbia College.
@Anonymous Thanks for reporting how many students applied ED to Columbia University this year — more than 6,400. Impressive. Do you know how many were accepted, deferred or denied? Perhaps you could update this story.
@Anonymous 650 are typically admitted in the early decision round. It’s been 650 for the last few years. That would be a 10% ED acceptance rate. That’s pretty pretty low for ED.
@Anonymous Is that a 49% increase in ed applicants? Did fewer get accepted to account for last years deferrals returning?
@TOD HOWARD HAWKS Holy Cow! Over 6,400 Early-Decision applicants for Class of 2025!
What percentage was admitted?

@Anonymous Congratulations! And Welcome to Columbia!
@anonymous Columbia College is such a stimulating institution. Every day I was there as an undergraduate provided endless knowledge and insight from the teachers, fellow students, and libraries. The College set out a star-studded trail of discovery from the first day of freshman year through to graduation. This wonderful experience continues to replenish me even four decades after my graduation.
Thank you, Columbia College.
