The weather outside may be frightful, but the fact that we still have (online) classes is more frightful in my opinion.

Remember the days when online university seemed like a good idea? No? Me neither. Among other things, it’s meant that we can no longer have snow days which seems vaguely illegal to all of us here at Bwog. So, here are some suggestions as to how to pretend that today is actually a snow day when it is, in fact, not:

  • Wake up to your alarm. Have your roommate/parent come in your room and inform you that there isn’t school today. Snuggle back into bed in a blissful haze, and fall back asleep.
  • Go outside and make a snowball and throw it at literally anything or anyone!
  • Eat pancakes!!! Whether you make them or order them or find them in the dining hall, pancakes are essential to a snow day/
  • Reread your favorite middle-grade book, find a pdf of Percy Jackson or Emily Windsnap online and just read that all day.
  • Disney movies Disney movies Disney movies
  • Make a craft any craft while watching the snow fall outside your window
  • Go out and do Manual Labor in the form of shoveling every sidewalk/driveway on ur block (snow days are not always glamorous!)
  • Drive around some corners aggressively enough that you start drifting
  • Stick your hand out the window throughout the duration of your zoom classes to pretend you’re free and playing in the snow.

Of course, if all that fails to get you in the mood, you could always just not show up to class… They’re all recorded anyway, right?
