Bwog had a pretty normal go of it this triple-holiday weekend.

Some Bwoggers spent the weekend out in the city:

  • Went to the opera with Music Hum and felt I was doing the Columbia Core thing where you go to the opera
  • Saw Everything Everywhere All at Once, which is now one of my top ten favorite movies of all time. Laughed. Cried. Contemplated life. Please go see it if you haven’t
  • Got drunk; got drunk; got drunk
  • Had a sculpting night with friends and made a little Creature who is as of yet unnamed
  • Went to a 1920s themed party. Bumped into a person I was down bad for during the fall semester. Now I have a weird relationship with them. Interactions were awkward—noticed repeated glances my way
    • Whole situation was really funny but more funny because of how my friend was reacting to it
  • Saw Le Nozze di Figaro at the Met
  • Went to a concert and was the youngest there by at least ten years. Aimee Mann rights!
  • Felt like the main character
  • MET LIZZO AND SAW HER AT SNL!!!
  • Ate diner food drunk at 2 am

Other Bwoggers took the chance to spend time with friends and family:

  • Literally felt my life force being restored after one (1) walk along the shoreline
  • Went home for Easter(?). My parents weren’t home so my brothers and I reverted to our high school/home alone ways: smoked three times a day, kept two bongs on the kitchen table, had 40s for dinner, etc.
  • Had three (3) classes outside in the warm weather
  • Went to Easter brunch with friends and had some lovely vegan French toast
  • Was gifted $55 of Chinese food that was misdelivered through Grubhub
  • Kissed my friend after we realized I’m the only one in our friend group she hadn’t kissed yet
  • Ate a LOT of chocolate at the Easter celebration with my family (this Field Note was brought to you by Argentine chocolate and Alfajor company HAVANA.).

Some Bwoggers couldn’t quite catch a break:

  • Got sunburnt on the lawn in like 12 minutes
  • Missed BeReal time all three days in a row :(
  • Cried:
    • On public transportation (got dinner with my parents)
    • In a public restroom (went to MoMA with my parents)
  • Told myself I’d catch up on sleep. Did not catch up on sleep
  • Survived on stroopwafels and stroopwafels alone.
  • Literally did not speak aloud to anyone all weekend

And other Bwoggers violated all 3 of this weekend’s religious traditions:

  • Made a PrezBo fancam
  • Loudly said the word “buttplug” at my family’s seder
    • I went to a seder and buttplugs were brought up there too???
