Columbia Dining announces a new dining location serving personal pizzas, opening January 17.

A new dining location, Chef Don’s Pizza Pi, will be opening just in time for the Spring semester. Columbia Dining announced its arrival on January 10 via their Instagram. This to-go dining center will share its space with Blue Java Mudd and open on January 17, the first day of Spring 2023 classes. Pizza will be served Monday through Friday from 11:30 am to 7 pm.

Chef Don’s Pizza Pi will serve personal pizzas, topped with either traditional or vegan cheese. They will later serve a daily special and a daily vegan special, such as pepperoni buffalo chicken or chicken parm pizzas. Each pizza comes with a side salad, a pastry dessert, and a cold beverage or coffee. The pizza crusts are sourced from Sano Artisan Bakers in Queens. Daily menus for Chef Don’s can be viewed on the Columbia Dining website

Chef Don’s will accept payment through meal swipes, Dining Dollars, Flex, guest swipes, and credit cards ($16.50). This price applies to the entire meal—pizzas cannot be purchased separately from sides.

While Chef Don’s will use the same space as Blue Java Mudd, the café will still be open Monday through Friday from 8 to 11 am. The space will be used for Chef Don’s starting at 11:30 am.

Columbia Dining also aims to maintain sustainability in Chef Don’s. The napkins are made from post-consumer recycled content, and the dining staff seeks to recycle or compost unused pizza boxes.

Chef Don’s Pizza Pi is named after Chef Donald Bartlett, who has been a member of Columbia Dining since 2009. He is the Chef Manager for Chef Mike’s, Blue Java Mudd, Blue Java Uris, and Lenfest Cafe.
