A new Columbia Dining food truck will open in Wien Courtyard on September 5.
A new grab-and-go lunch dining location, Fac Shack, will open September 5. Columbia Dining announced its arrival on August 30, later highlighting it via their Instagram.
Fac Shack is a food truck run by Faculty House staff and situated in Wien Courtyard. It will provide a “gourmet twist to global street food” aimed towards students without time to sit down. Fac Shack will be open for lunch hours and provide a vegetarian option in addition to the main line, showing allergen and dietary information on daily menus. Food served will include dishes such as chicken curry, chicken makhani, beef keema mattar, channa masala, aloo gobhi, aloo mattar, dal makhani, yellow dal, palak paneer, basmati rice, jeera rice, naan, and mint chutney. The meal comes with whole fruit, David’s cookies, or a brownie, as well as water.
The new location will accept payment through meal swipes, Flex, Dining Dollars, and guest swipes. For one swipe, an individual can get an entrée, side, dessert, and drink. Credit cards will not be accepted as payment at this time. With the addition of Fac Shack to East Campus, Faculty House will be open for dine-in only without the use of to-go eco-containers.
Fac Shack’s regular hours of operation will be on weekdays from 11 am to 3 pm. Faculty House will be open weekdays from 11 am to 2:30 pm.
