A man drove his car through security barriers onto the tarmac and parked under a plane with his daughter for 18 hours. Happening in the US: A judge in the New York civil fraud case against Donald Trump expanded a gag order, prohibiting public statements by lawyers about the judge’s communications with his staff. The case accuses Trump of inflating his assets to secure loans and lower insurance premiums. A federal appeals court has also temporarily lifted a similar gag order in a separate case, where Trump has been accused of trying to overturn his 2020 election loss. (Reuters)

Happening in NYC: US Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg has approved a $3.4 billion grant to help extend the Second Avenue subway line into East Harlem. The grant covers less than half of the estimated $7.7 billion needed for the project, which plans to add three stops to the Q line. (Gothamist)
