Highlights:

The Columbia football team defeated Penn 23-17 on Saturday, securing its first win at Franklin Field since 1996. Quarterback Chase Goodwin (CC ’27) threw for 334 yards and two touchdowns, with Bryson Canty (CC ’25) catching eight passes for 137 yards and a touchdown. The Lions built a 14-0 lead by capitalizing on turnovers, and despite a strong second-half push from Penn, they maintained their advantage with a key field goal from Hugo Merry (CC ’27). A final sack on a Hail Mary attempt sealed the victory, as Columbia improved to 4-1 overall and 2-0 in Ivy League play.

The Columbia women’s soccer team earned a 1-1 draw with Brown on Saturday, securing a spot in the Ivy League Tournament for the second consecutive season. Brown took an early lead in the 14th minute, but Brown equalized in the 65th minute after capitalizing on a turnover. Despite being outshot in the first half, the team maintained pressure in the second, with the goalkeeper making four saves to preserve the tie. The result keeps Columbia in first place in the Ivy League with 13 points, narrowly ahead of Princeton.
