Want to add something new to your workout routine?! Try CorePower free week! (Not sponsored, though I wish it was.)
As a college student who goes ravenous for any free deal, CorePower’s free week called my name. CorePower is a hot yoga studio that offers a lot of different types of classes: Yoga Sculpt, CorePower Strength X, CorePower 1, CorePower 2, Hot Power Fusion, and CoreRestore. While I wish I could say I tried them all, my friend and I fell in love with Yoga Sculpt after Day 1 and committed to the bit with that class the rest of the week (though we did take one Hot Power Fusion class).
Last week, my friend and I braved the classes that CorePower has to offer. With fear and wonder, we stepped foot into the UWS studio for the first time on Monday at 1:45 pm ready for our 2 pm Yoga Sculpt. Horrified, but as ready as we could ever be, we laid out our mats. 60 minutes later, we felt reborn, mutually agreeing that we had never felt so happily obliterated in our lives.
Fast forward to Tuesday morning… 6:30 am wake up. Rise and shine! It’s Hot Power Fusion time! Feeling sore from the day before, we weren’t sure how this class would go. We didn’t really know what to expect or what the differences would be between Yoga Sculpt and HPF. After sweating out any and all water in my body, I can now confidently say that I’ve never felt heat like that in my life. It still feels like a fever dream.
I did three more Yoga Sculpt classes after trying both Yoga Sculpt and Hot Power Fusion. I honestly am such a fan of Yoga Sculpt—it obliterates my body in the best way possible. Compared to Hot Power Fusion, which is just hot yoga, Yoga Sculpt is more like a “yogalates”—a mix of yoga and Pilates.
Though I did feel like I was about to die while doing the Yoga Sculpt, once I got to the stretching part at the end, I felt so good. My body felt so strong and capable, which is one of my favorite parts about working out—that endorphin rush.
I loved the UWS studio and highly recommend everyone to try the free week at CorePower! The instructors were awesome and made me feel very comfortable taking breaks when I needed them. It was also super bright in the studio and had great vibes overall. The two things that weren’t free were the yoga mat and towel. So, if you have either of those, I highly recommend bringing them because after the first day, you have to pay $4 for a mat and $2 for a towel. Honestly not bad, but I still had to pay a little bit of money…
If you’re looking to try something new, add some fun into your workout routine, or even go on an adventure with a friend, try CorePower free week! I highly recommend trying it not only because it is free, but because it leaves you feeling fulfilled and accomplished. Go get that free workout on!
