Congratulations to the 78 Barnard College Seniors elected to Phi Beta Kappa!

On May 5, Barnard College announced the 78 graduating seniors selected for induction into the Phi Beta Kappa Society for Spring 2025. These students have been recognized for their academic excellence and commitment to the liberal arts and sciences. The induction ceremony will take place on May 19, 2025.

In Barnard’s announcement, Aaron Passell, professor of Urban Studies and president of Barnard’s Phi Beta Kappa chapter, praised the new members for embodying the society’s ideals. “This year’s inductees capture the vast diversity of intellectual interests across the College, the broad interests of individual students, and the rigor and vigor with which they pursue them. Members of Phi Beta Kappa are inducted for accomplishments that go beyond academic excellence and include good citizenship and service to the community and the greater good,” he said.
