Bwog is loving this cozy fall weather. Editor’s warning: mentions of shooting and violence

Happening off-Campus: A rooftop sniper opened fire at a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility in Dallas, Texas, on Wednesday morning, killing one detainee and critically injuring two others before dying from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The gunman, identified as Joshua Jahn, fired at both the ICE center and a nearby unmarked van. No law enforcement officers were injured. Authorities have not officially confirmed a motive, but Department of Homeland Security officials described the shooting as a targeted attack on law enforcement, citing ammunition marked with the phrase “ANTI-ICE” found at the scene. The incident is the latest in a string of attacks on ICE facilities as the agency ramps up efforts to enforce President Donald Trump’s mass deportation agenda, and it comes amid rising concerns about political violence following the recent killing of conservative activist Charlie Kirk. Happening near Campus: Yesterday Mayor Eric Adams announced that a new 15 mph speed limit for electric bikes and scooters in New York City will take effect on October 24, just one day before early voting begins for the mayoral election. Originally proposed in June, the rule aims to enhance street safety and aligns with speed regulations for e-bikes in several European countries. The announcement comes amid an NYPD crackdown on traditional cyclists violating traffic laws. As part of his re-election campaign as an independent, Adams has made e-bike regulation a central issue, responding to growing concerns over their use, particularly by delivery workers. The city’s latest budget also introduced a new Department of Sustainable Delivery, tasked with improving traffic safety and holding delivery app companies accountable for public safety standards. Album of the Day: Soundtrack From Twin Peaks by Angelo Badalamenti (In my opinion, this is the perfect soundtrack for romanticizing a cozy rainy day like today.)
