Happening off-Campus: In a recent press release, digital streaming platform Spotify announced that it is collaborating with major labels to develop responsible AI products, fueling debate about the growing use of AI in the music industry. While the details of these products are unclear, Spotify claims that it will “put artists and songwriters first” through principles such as upfront agreements, choice in participation, and fair compensation. Happening near Campus:  The NYPD has created a new domestic violence unit in response to the growing number of domestic violence complaints in NYC. The new unit, comprising about 450 dedicated investigators, will replace the current system, where multiple officers from different units work together on domestic violence cases. (Gothamist)

Happening on Campus: Today marks the start of Family Days (CC and SEAS) and Family Weekend (Barnard)! This weekend, parents, family members, and supporters are invited to campus to participate in an exciting sequence of intellectual, informational, and social activities designed to acquaint them with the schools as well as connect with fellow families.
