Data Club: GeoPackage – An Open Standard for Geospatial Data
- Thursday, November 6, 4:10 pm to 5:30 pm.
- International Affairs Building, Room 215 (Lehman Library). No Registration required
- Hosted by Columbia University Libraries, this Data Club meeting will introduce the OGC GeoPackage format, an open, single-file standard for storing and sharing geospatial data and projects. The session will cover what GeoPackage is, how it compares to other formats, and how to create, edit, and exchange GeoPackages using tools like QGIS. Participants are encouraged to experiment and work on their own projects. More information.
New Luddism: Technology and Resistance in the Modern Workplace

- Hosted by the sociology department, this event will host numerous themed panels and workshops to discuss the value of the Luddite framework, as well as its major implications for the current state of labor, and the tech industry as a whole. More information.
