How to make sure your siblings don’t forget you exist!
As a sophomore, I have pretty much mastered how to remind my younger brother of my presence and thus, will bestow the information on you. These suggestions come from my specific situation of having a brother in high school, but you can adapt these to whatever situation you find yourself in!
- Rub it in their faces that you get a month-long winter break and they only get a week and a half.
- Tell them really detailed stories about your day unprompted even though they’re probably not listening and in fact playing League of Legends.
- Become their friend on Snapchat so you can receive pictures of your old high school with captions like “mom forgot to pick me up” and pictures of your dog with captions like “she won’t shut up.”
- Get them to share your location with you so you can stalk them whenever you’re bored in class and then send them creepy texts about where they are and what they’re doing.
- Respond to their one-word texts with paragraphs so they can stay up to date on your life.
- Deny their accusations that you have stolen their soap, nail clippers, etc and taken them to college with you. (This works especially well when the aforementioned item has your initials on them; they can’t argue with that).
- Force them to track down your parents when your mom doesn’t answer your calls.
I hope these tips help you foster a closer relationship with your own siblings, I know its worked on mine (I think).
