Bwogline: Brad Lander, the outgoing New York City comptroller, announced he will run for Congress. He will be challenging moderate pro-Israel Democrat Dan Goldman for a district that includes Lower Manhattan and northwest Brooklyn. Lander’s decision to run comes after the Working Families Party voted Tuesday evening to support him over two other contenders: City Council member Alexa Avilés and Yuh-Line Niou, a former state assembly member. (Gothamist)
