Spotlight: Become a Science Writing Fellow at Barnard!

Applications are open to become a Science Writing Fellow at Barnard. Science Writing Fellows receive training through a one-semester course, The Writer’s Process, which they take in the Fall after they’ve been accepted. After finishing the course, the fellows begin working in the Writing Center. Additionally, they are “attached” to one course a semester, where they support students in developing their scientific writing skills. According to Barnard’s Writing Fellow website, after completing training fellows make $18 an hour and work approximately five hours a week. Barnard first-year and sophomore students are eligible to apply. More information.
