Columbia’s men’s basketball team wins at Princeton for the second time in 32 years; the women’s basketball team defeats Penn and a ranked Princeton at home.

Highlights

Columbia defeated #24-ranked Princeton in Women’s Basketball on Friday, February 13. Despite being down 11-20 after the first quarter and 25-31 at the half, Columbia immensely outscored Princeton in the third and fourth quarters, leading to a come-from-behind victory for the Lions. Perri Page (CC ‘26) led the scoring with a season high 25 points, and Riley Weiss (CC ‘27) was not far behind with 23.

Also on Friday, Columbia men’s basketball lost to Penn 67-76 away. While leading 37-34 at the half, Penn outlasted their opponent, outsourcing them by twelve in the second half to pull away. Kenny Noland (CC ‘26) led with 22 points, including six three-point shots.

On Saturday, Columbia’s women’s basketball team crushed Penn 69-56 after jumping to a 30-15 lead at the half. Weiss led with 21 points; Page had 15, and Mia Broom (CC ‘28) had 12.

Also on Saturday, Columbia men’s basketball defeated Princeton 75-65. This was the first time the men’s basketball team won at Princeton since winning 53-52 on February 7, 2014, and only the second time they won there since 1993. Scoring was evenly placed with four players scoring in double digits, with Blair Thompson (CC’ 26) leading with 14. Conor Igoe (CC’ 29) led rebounds with 7.
