This historic class was chosen from over 10,000 applications. Congratulations and welcome to Barnard!
On Saturday, March 21, Barnard College released their regular decision results for the Class of 2030 to an applicant pool of almost 11,000 students from over 5,000 high schools.
The students come from 49 states, Washington D.C., Puerto Rico, and 58 countries. Their average SAT score is 1500, and average ACT is 34. 94% of those who reported class rank are in the top 10% of their class. For the second year in a row, Barnard did not release the acceptance rate of the admitted class.
According to a Barnard official, the admitted class contains a record number of first generation students, with 25% admitted being the first in their family to attend university. Almost one-quarter of admitted students are Pell Grant recipients. 13 students were admitted through the QuestBridge Match process, and another 43 are QuestBridge Affiliated Scholars.
Said Vice President for Enrollment and External Affairs Jennifer Fondiller BC’88, “What struck our team this year was the extraordinary depth these students brought to every part of their applications. They are not just accomplished — they are reflective, curious, and purposeful. These admitted students are multidimensional, dialed into the world around them, and eager to engage with it in meaningful ways.”
Congratulations again to the Class of 2030!
