On March 26 at 7 pm, Columbia College and the Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Sciences sent out Regular Decision admissions results for the Class of 2030.
CC and SEAS accepted 2,581 students from an applicant pool of 61,031, the largest in Columbia history with an acceptance rate of 4.23%. Admitted students hail from all 50 states and territories, in addition to 111 countries.
Around half of admitted students were offered need-based financial aid, with Columbia meeting 100% of demonstrated need.
In a statement from the university to Bwog, Dean of Undergraduate Admissions and Financial Aid Jessica Marinaccio said, “My colleagues and I have felt deeply inspired by the enthusiasm, curiosity, dedication and intellectual spirit that students shared with us through their applications, and it has been our privilege to spend these last several months getting to know them. In their personal statements and letters of recommendation, through their research and artistic portfolios, across their classroom and
extracurricular achievements, they have shown us who they see themselves to be today and who
they hope to become. Their futures are so bright!”
Congratulations and welcome to the Columbia Class of 2030!
