The basketball regular season is winding down with mixed results.

This week, Columbia men’s basketball defeated Brown, 82-60, before coming up short to Yale, 54-60. Currently, the men’s team is tied for fifth in Ivy League standings with the same 5-8 conference record as Dartmouth and Princeton. They are locked out of contention for the top four in the conference, which would have resulted in their first-ever Ivy Madness bid; their most recent finish in the top four (third, in 2015-16) was a season before the conference championship tournament was introduced.

Columbia Women’s Basketball defeated Yale, 68-47, and Brown, 59-56. Riley Weiss (CC ‘27) scored 26 and 19 points in each game respectively. The women’s team (11-2 Ivy) is tied with Princeton for No.1 in the Ivy League, and winning against Harvard Saturday would clinch their fourth consecutive Ivy League regular season title.
