Happening off-Campus: A runaway wolf in Daejeon, South Korea, has caught the eyes of the country’s president. Neukgu, a two-year-old member of Korea’s nearly extinct wolf population, escaped from the O-World zoo on Wednesday morning by burrowing under a fence. In the following days, a nearby elementary school closed as a precaution while over 100 first-responders searched for him. On the internet, Neukgu has sparked a meme coin, an English-speaking X community with over 500 followers, and a tweet from the Korean President Lee Jae Myung, wishing the wolf a safe return home (Reuters).
