Campus Arts Event Bach Sonatas and Partitas for Solo Violin

- Come listen to Grammy Award-winning violinist Jennifer Koh’s stunning renditions of Bach! The solo violin performance will interpret Bach’s complete Sonatas and Partitas within a single program.
Campus Arts Event The Saamis: preserving an 800-year old vocal tradition of Khayal
- Thursday, September 24, 6 pm, St. Paul’s Chapel
- The Hindustani classical music form Khayal translates to “imagination” and features virtuosic, improvised vocal performance. Stretching back over eight centuries, the tradition will be performed this week by the Saami family.

- Immerse yourself in 80s nostalgia at this screening of the classic sci-fi film Back to the Future.
Pop-Up Concerts: Kurtág at 100
- Tuesday, September 22, 6 pm, Miller Theatre
- The Hungarian composer György Kurtág is turning one hundred this year. To celebrate his life’s work, soprano Tony Arnold, violinist Christopher Otto, and pianist Amy Williams will be interpreting some of his rarer pieces.
Raphael at the MET: Carmen Bambach talks with Michael Cole
- Tuesday, September 22, 6 to 7:30 pm, Teatro (Italian Academy)
- Carmen C. Bambach, curator of the groundbreaking exhibition Raphael: Sublime Poetry will be discussing the careful planning and execution responsible for the exhibition’s highly successful three-month run at the Met. Don’t miss the chance to hear from Bambach, as well as Columbia professor Michael Cole, about this display of Raphael’s masterpieces and rare works.
- Thursday, September 24, 6:30 to 8 pm, East Gallery (Buell Hall)
- This screening features Lana Daher’s 2025 film Do You Love Me. The film compiles Lebanese archival footage (including film, television, and home movies) to tell a complex story of emotion and memory across the last century of the country’s history.
