Happening off Campus: The Supreme Court heard oral arguments today as to whether the US Air Force should be allowed to destroy expired rockets, bombs, and hazardous waste on Tarague Beach in Guam. A nonprofit dedicated to protecting Guam’s natural resources argued that the military has not considered the environmental impacts. A decision is expected by the end of June. (NYTimes)
Happening near Campus: New York City is planning to spend $9 million to develop local organizations providing gender-affirming care to minors. This comes as part of a $15 million investment by the Mamdani administration in gender-affirming care. The proposed contracts would begin February 1, 2027, and run through June 30, 2029. (Gothamist)
