Happening in the US: Fourteen state attorneys requested the government to prohibit Elon Musk and his team from accessing and searching through seven federal agencies’ data. However, a Washington federal judge declined this request yesterday, which will allow Elon Musk and his associates to continue reducing the federal workforce and ordering mass firings. (NYT)
Happening in NYC: An NYPD detective was shot yesterday morning during a police standoff with a man who barricaded himself in his apartment on the Lower East Side. The officers were attempting to search the man’s apartment for guns when he put a couch against the door and started shooting at the NYPD. Both a police officer and the man, Edwin Rivera, were injured after each side opened fire, and Rivera was taken into custody following the incident. (Gothamist)

Today, Alice Lesman, the Director of Housing Information and Referral Service at Columbia University, will be giving a presentation about how to live comfortably in small spaces.
