Under a White Sky: Solar geoengineering and other bright ideas

- Dr. Neil Shubin will be interviewed by Professor Claudia Dreifus of the School of Professional Studies about how he writes science-based non-fiction books that have wide appeal to general audiences. More information.
Fabien Cottier – Climate Variability, Migration and Immobility

Music on the Brain with the National Jazz Museum: Sing Me Somethin’ Good

- The National Jazz Museum in Harlem. Registration required.
- The Columbia Zuckerman Institute will present a jazz concert by Helen Song, followed by a dialogue with Dr. Michael Shadlen to explore parallels between jazz improvisation and neuroscience. The talk will explore how our brains perceive and communicate in song and word. More information.
