Another week of Columbia sports awaits!

Highlights: 

On Saturday, the Cross Country team claimed first place at the METS Championships hosted by the New Jersey Institute of Technology, with a score of 44 on the women’s side. Leading the Lions with a personal best time of 17:51:00 was first year Meredith Wolfe (CC ‘29), finishing sixth overall. Just behind her was first year Maggie Boler (CC ‘29) with a time of 18:00.00. To round out the top 11 came Caroline Schoen (CC ‘27), Isabella Shertzer (CC ‘28), and Grace Carr (CC ‘27) with times of 18:08.00, 18:11.00, and 18:22.00, respectively.

The men also put up an impressive performance, finishing in fifth place overall with a score of 153. Ralph Brown (CC ‘28) led the pack with a time of 25:33.00, coming in 15th place. Three Lions followed, all recording their personal best times. Senior Jacob Van Orden (CC ‘26) finished 31st with a time of 25:57.00, followed by Tyler Tubman (CC ‘27), who also recorded a time of  25:57.00. In 33rd came junior Nicholas Hayden (CC ‘27) with a time of 25:59.00. Go Lions!
