Bwog hopes everyone has a good Sunday!

Happening off-Campus: The National Park Service has changed its policies, offering free admission on President Trump’s birthday next year, while eliminating free access on Martin Luther King Jr. Day and Juneteenth. This change will take effect January 1 and is part of a broader policy update that also raises admission fees for international visitors and revises the list of free days. Many have condemned the decision, arguing that it downplays America’s civil rights history while elevating the president’s image.(AP)

Happening near Campus:  On Friday, a Queens judge ruled that the city violated proper procedures in constructing a bike lane on 31st Street and ordered part of the roadway to be restored following this summer’s construction. This ruling marks a rare legal win for plaintiffs in the long-running battle between local businesses and New York City’s expanding bike lanes. (Gothamist)

Happening on Campus: Until December 19, Columbia CCSI is hosting a Cansgiving drive. Join the spirit of giving with the Cansgiving Drive by donating unexpired, non-perishable food and meal kits to help keep Columbia’s Food Pantry stocked and support students in need.
