The miracle we all needed!

Over the summer, a little slice of heaven opened up seven blocks from campus on 109th and Broadway. This new spot is not only delicious but also historical, as it is the first Taco Bell location on the Upper West Side in at least 25 years. Students can finally get a taste of the crunchiest Taco Supreme combo from 11 am to 4 am, every day of the year.

What does the inside of heaven look like, one might ask? Well, for one, it’s very bright and about the size of a double in the dorms. The one thing that was surprising was the number of order kiosks. While this form of ordering may be more convenient and fast, it seems like Taco Bell was aiming to limit contact with people. For those who miss the old-fashioned way of ordering food, there is also the option to order at the counter. 

After a long summer of waiting, my friend and I decided to try out Taco Bell on a warm Friday afternoon. We ordered a spread consisting of the Crunchy Taco Supreme and Wrap Combos, along with the infamous Baja Blasts. The shells were crunchy, and the sauces were to die for. The only thing that concerned us was the pico de gallo, as it seemed a little flavorless. For dessert, we ultimately got the Cinnabon 12-pack and made sure to enjoy it while it was still piping hot. These little balls of cinnamon are still one of our all-time favorite desserts, and they’re now closer to campus than ever.

The meal was absolutely amazing, and we will definitely be going back again, especially since it’s next to a variety of essential establishments such as HeyTea, Carvel, Auntie Anne’s, and CVS. Hopefully, our next order at the kiosk will include some cinnamon twists!
