Happening off-Campus: Donald Trump’s new restrictions on mail-in voting have been blocked by a second federal judge last night. The new restrictions would mandate that states submit a list of voters eligible to vote by mail to the USPS and for mail-in ballots to have unique bar codes, which would effectively allow the USPS not to issue ballots to voters not on these lists or to states that do not comply. The final decision on the restrictions rests with the Supreme Court, which the Trump administration asked to pause the order to block the restrictions so that the USPS could implement them. Happening Near Campus: A beloved bodega cat has been catnapped in Park Slope, bringing outrage to the neighborhood. A couple was caught on camera snatching the kitten, named Jabal, from the front of the store around 7 am on Thursday. The neighborhood has come together, putting up posters of the couple and canvassing the neighborhood to bring Jabal home. (Gothamist)
