Discovery of the magical floor lounge

One month into freshman year, and I’ve already discovered the proper way to make use of my dorm lounge’s cooking facilities. To add a little spice (and sweetness) to college life, I decided to share my fantastic recipe for chocolate and caramel chunk cookies. And trust me, if I can pull this off in a freshman dorm kitchen, anyone can!

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup of butter
  • ½ cup of granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup of brown sugar
  • 1-2 eggs
  • 1½ cup of flour
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • A pinch of salt
  • As much chocolate and caramel as you want!

Instructions:

  1. Warm the butter and mix it with the sugar and eggs
  2. In a separate bowl, combine the flour and baking soda
  3. Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, folding them together until combined
  4. Once it’s perfectly mixed, add as much chocolate and caramel chunks as you want
  5. Chill the dough in the fridge for at least 2 hours (better if you leave it overnight!)
  6. Preheat your oven to 350°F and bake for 15–20 minutes

And you are all set, enjoy your cookies!
