Breakneck: China’s Quest to Engineer the Future
- Tuesday, October 6, 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm.
- Jerome Greene Hall, Room 105
- Undergrads can join this event to learn of China’s “engineering mindset”. Dan Wang will blend political, economic, and philosophical analysis with reporting, especially on recent Chinese megaprojects.
Surveillance Tech and the Fight for Immigrant Justice
- Tuesday, October 6, 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm.
- Diana Center Event Oval
- The Barnard Center for Research on Women will explore recent advancement in federal and local surveillance technologies and how these have been used against minority populations. Centering immigrant justice, the talk will foreground strategies of community resilience and flourishing.
- Friday, October 9th, 1 pm to 4 pm.
- Wang Pavillion
- This annual exposition will highlight student and achievements in a global sense. It offers programming, a showcase, and experiential learning for any undergraduate interested in research on campus and abroad! Programming will highlight research from students who did so whilst abroad.
