QuickTix brings you Columbia’s theater picks every alternate Wednesday. And the top sellers are…
1. Bacchanal presents Saget – If you live under a rock, as they say, you may not know that rock star (hip-hop star?) comedian Bob Saget will be telling some jokes tonight at Miller Theater. Tickets are unfortunately sold out.
2. KCST presents Family and Other Strangers – Edward Albee’s “The American Dream” and “The Zoo Story”
3. Diwali Dinner – Yes, friends, that is free food on November 14th, this Saturday. All you have to do is get tickets at the TIC.
4. The Met Opera presents “Figaro”
5. Orchesis – this Friday night, CUID $5, tickets are still available.
In other cheap theater news, the CMTS production of the rock musical “Bat Boy” is also $5 with CUID, and the Met Opera’s “Tales of Hoffman” is $23.50 for students (“Hoffman” also got a decent Times review). “After Miss Julie” is a little expensive at $37, but for that you get British Labor Party love you can’t find anywhere else. As always, Bwog recommends the free food at Diwali Dinner above all else.

@You forgot ReImagined!
@wellll Actually the TIC isn’t selling tickets to Friday’s (now sold out) reImagined. It’s a completely independent production with independent ticketing.
@ELEKTRA is also playing this weekend.
$5 CUID for tickets.
Friday – 8 pm
Saturday – 8 pm
Sunday – 2pm
