More Wi-Fi Coming to Dorms
Just when you thought you escaped the woes of Housing over break, they return. Bwog has received word that more dorms next semester will receive free wireless access. Expect this to change some dynamics when it comes to housing selection!
Here’s the full list of dorms that will have Wi-Fi starting in the Fall, via CCSC President Sue Yang’s Two Minute Toot:
- Broadway (currently has)
- Hogan
- McBain
- River
- Watt
- Wien
- Ruggles
- Woodbridge
- Either Nussbaum or Claremont (stay tuned for more on this)

Harmony is not on this list but that’s ok because i can’t find harmony anyway :-|
Anyone know a. why it’s between these two specifically? And, more importantly, why they would give it to what is in essence corridor-style housing (where you probably aren’t using your computer outside your room instead of Claremont’s legitimate suite-style housing?
because it’s awesome not to be constrained by your lan cable! because you can have study parties where other people can actually use the internet! because, hey, wifi’s useful!
