Firefighters have been at the Citibank on 111th and Broadway since approximately 5:20am when a fire broke out. As of 12 pm firefighters are still on scene working to put out the flames. Even thought Citibank is a stand-alone building there is believed to be damage to The Heights next door.
According to DNAinfo New York three firefighters were injured and about 200 others have been on the scene. Also, five civilians have been treated for smoke-related injuries.
We will be updating as we hear more.
