Pumpkin Festival in Central Park

3pm – 8pm, various locations

Glorious, glorious, ghoulish gourds. And lots of kids to celebrate them. Scarecrows, hayrides, a jack-o-lantern tower—how better to celebrate fall?
Sunday

War of the Worlds / The Lost World

3pm

Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts, 2900 Campus Rd

The LA Theatre Works, an acclaimed radio-theatre company, present a sci-fi double bill in the spirit of the upcoming Halloween.  It’ll be 70 years ago this week that War of the Worlds got mistaken for an actual newscast, so take this chance to be a part of history!

Champagne Brunch Sail

11am-1pm

@Outraged: It’s Bryant Park, not Bryant Square Park, and it’s at 40th Street between 5th and 6th, not 34th. You’ve wronged the greatest park in the greatest city.
@Lydia Right you are, an egregious editorial oversight to be sure. Fixed.
@How about the $100 grand prize you can win for carving a pumpkin for Bacchanal’s Halloween party on Sunday?? Bring it to the Steps on Sunday at 6pm for the judging. And come out earlier for tons of free food and candy. If you need inspiration… http://www.politico.com/blogs/bensmith/1007/Pumpkin_of_the_day.html
@Tiny Tim Bah humbug, Bwog. I can’t wait for Christmas music.
