@scotch drinker Dewar’s is pretty good stuff for a terrified phone-call home (you could pound vodka from a plastic handle that one) – i think this “liquid courage” was for asking a girl out
… and don’t ask me to rationalize this – I have no explanation for why you’d drink better stuff to ask a girl out then deliver bad news to your folks
